Pluto Social Club – Participation Waiver

Effective: January 1, 2026 | This waiver is required to participate at Pluto Social Club.

Pluto Social Club is a sensory-friendly play environment with soft play equipment, swings, climbing elements, and other developmental tools. This waiver outlines the risks inherent to indoor play and clarifies the responsibilities of both Pluto Social Club and participating families.


Assumption of Risk
I understand and acknowledge the following:

  1. Inherent Risks: Indoor play, even with soft equipment, involves unavoidable risks. These include slips, falls, collisions with equipment or other children, minor injuries, and unexpected movements on swings or climbing structures.

  2. Supervision: A parent or legal guardian must supervise their child at all times. Pluto Social Club staff provides general oversight of the space but does not provide personal supervision for any child.

  3. Behavioral Variability: Many children in the space have sensory, motor, or behavioral differences that may lead to sudden movements or actions. I understand these dynamics are part of the community environment.

By entering the space, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including those arising from the actions of other children.

Health & Safety
I confirm that:

  • My child is in suitable health to participate in indoor play activities.

  • I am responsible for monitoring any medical, sensory, or behavioral needs my child may have.

  • I will remove my child from any activity or equipment that appears unsafe for them.

  • I will immediately alert staff if equipment appears damaged or hazardous.

Release of Liability
In consideration for access to Pluto Social Club, I agree to release and hold harmless Pluto Social Club, its founders, staff, contractors, volunteers, and the property owner from all claims or liabilities for injury, illness, property damage, or other harm arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Equipment and Space Use
I agree to the following guidelines:

  1. No running on or near equipment not designed for it.

  2. Swings must be used one child at a time unless marked otherwise.

  3. Climbing structures must be used as intended and within posted weight or age guidelines.

  4. Food and beverages are kept away from play areas unless permitted in designated sections.

  5. Shoes must be removed in soft-play zones unless medically necessary.

  6. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for the safe use of equipment by their child.

Emergency Procedures
If an injury occurs, I authorize Pluto Social Club staff to take reasonable steps to ensure safety, including contacting emergency services if necessary. I will be responsible for any medical costs.

Photography
Photography is governed separately by the Photo & Video Release Waiver. This liability waiver does not grant media consent.
